Application for the private pilot course beginning June 16th 2008


 

There is a $10.00 application fee due with the application. Tuition ranges from $2,000 to $6,000 depending on family resources. Average tuition paid last year was $4000. Please fill out and submit the tuition assistance form along with this application. Preference is given to students who have planned ahead, found a job and worked and saved to help pay for their flight training.

 

Prerequisites:

  1. Applicants must be 17 yrs of age by November 1st 2008
  2. Applicants must be in good health and able to pass an FAA physical examination.
  3. Applicants must be enrolled in a public, private or home high school program.
  4. Applicants must be able to commit to a full daily schedule between June 16th and August
    10th and a part time schedule through November 1st.

Fees: Student will need to pay for a FAA medical exam, FAA private pilot written exam, and
examiner fees for the FAA private pilot flight test.

Applicants may be asked to an interview to supply more information. Successful applicants
will be notified by June 9th. Class starts June 16th.

  7. Our program begins June 16th and continues through Nov 1st. The summer portion is fun but does require an all day commitment  thee days a week and half day commitment two days a week through the first week in August and a part time commitment through Nov. 1st.  There is homework during the first five weeks. Students often have to spend 2 hours a night reading and preparing for the next day.  How do you know that you can commit to this kind of schedule and be successful?
