I am Jessica. We all really enjoyed this program and hope that you will help support us through tax-deductible contributions. Only with the support of the community can this valuable program continue. In time we, the graduates, will return to teach and support the program that introduced us to aviation. There are so many jobs now for pilots, a need that is expected to increase over the next decade. Pilots can earn as much as $300,000 a year. Wow, what if just a few of us did that, think how much we will be able to do for this program ten years from now when our children have this opportunity in Sandpoint.

My name is April. I was one of the four girls selected for the program. My birthday is April 1st; I will get my license then. This year ten students will be selected. The program is growing with the support of the community. I am thinking about a career in aviation as a result of my experience with SFT. I will get credit for the academics and the next class will get credit for the flight portion as well. We had to use the information we were taught in math and science classes to master the material in this program. We integrated skills we learn at high school and helped design the program in ways that met individual and group needs.

Hello, my name is Steve. Last year I enrolled in the Scholarship Flight Training Program. This year in March when I am seventeen, I will be taking my private pilot flight test. SFT gave me a full scholarship. This summer I will be paid to help teach the academic portion of the curriculum to the new class beginning in June. I plan to continue my training so I can teach the flight portion another year.
